This is like Will Smith trying to replace Bob Conrad in "The Wild. Wild West".

Sorry, but I can't imagine anybody replacing Jack Webb as Joe Friday.

What next? Hawaii Five-O? Gilligan's Island?

I suppose since most of the sit-coms use gags from The Honeymooners, I Love Lucy, and other 50's and early 60's shows why not just use the entire show?

Remaking a half way decent old show, will more than likely be better than three fourths of the crap on tv now.

Anyone remember the short lived re-make of Adam-12? That one sucked dead donkey ass. No way will a new Dragnet be any good. There is only one Joe Friday. Accept no sustitute.

You just cannot make a decent sequel.  It's impossible.  The networks are resorting to repackaging old shows because their coke-snorting executives have burned out their brains and can't come up with any good new ideas.  Me and my dog could do a better job of programming than those morons.
