Everything has to be a lot more level than you think, and if you have sandy soil, you pretty much need a liner. I gave up. If I can't do it well, I hate wasting my time doing it. I have a "nice rink" liner with homemade wolmonized boards (low). They make a complete kit for around 3 bills, but just buy the liner and make your own boards.
