Just opened a bottle.
Under direction of the knowledgeable and mighty GD. Excellent stuff. ETA: Thread title. Surely some of you are drinking though Snowpacalypse Redux. |

It's the only blended scotch I will buy, JW Red and Dewars are cheap swill, and JW Black is only slighty better. I've got a bottle of JW Blue that was gifted to me, but my heart's not in drinking $50 worth of blended scotch... probably give it as a wedding gift to one of the drunk college kids I know that don't know any better. I'll just sit here and drink my Bowmore or Highland Park and be happy and content. |

Grouse is the most popular blended scotch in Northern Ireland for mixing as well as drinking as is, as per my Derry born wife. Whenever the in-laws are in town much Grouse is consumed in my house.
Love me some Grouse. For a GP blended scotch it's right up there with Johnnie Black IMHO. |

I pay 30ish a handle. Sipping some right now. Just waiting for the maid to come over and clean my shower... Quoted:

Thinking about getting a bottle of JW blue. Wish I could try it beforehand. Johnnie Walker Blue is the Cadillac Escalade of scotch. It's an overhyped blend with little character. Meh. Invest in a nice single malt. Trust. If you absolutely must purchase a Johnnie Walker blended scotch beyond the normal Red and Black varieties try the Green. You'll save a lot of money and drink something that actually has some character. Smoke is your friend. |

Grouse is my favorite Scotch because it was my Uncle Bub's favorite. My favorite uncle, the kind of guy who teaches a young man everything he needs to know that not proper for his dad to teach him Getting dusty in here, I would have a sip with you OP but I'm on-call for work right now, you enjoy one for me! |

I have been on call the last 13 days. One more day to go. Can't even have a beer for two weeks. |

I have one or two single malts.
Just no blends. I had a bottle of JW black, but I gave it away. http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e308/rdxfusion/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps0e9f949d.jpg Quoted:

I like to buy a few bottles a month. When I see something hyped on here I try it out. Pretty unimpressed with Balvenie 12 double wood and Glenmorangie 10. Also not fond of Jameson. I plan on buying an older variant of each to give them another chance. I have not found a Glenlivet I did not like. |
