Looks fine to me... Not much different then those... I forget the make.. yellow, blue, pink plastic lowers.. [:)]
cal something I think |

What is that, urban camoflauge?
I actually like that better then the colored Cav stocks. |

Oh, boy...then you're gonna love Cav Arms new glow worm.
To the purist..yes. I kinda like the blue one...does'nt look so "assaulty". I would love to bring that one to the range. They're just toys anyway. [BD] |

Pretty nice website also...thanks.
Never enough AR sites...always room for more competitive pricing. [:D] |

Best "color scheme" I ever saw done to an AR was a "DeWalt" AR-15 I saw on the 'net quite some time ago. DeWalt-yellow furniture. DeWalt stickers. I must admit it looked kinda cool.
Zippy... I think that is still floating around in the Cavalry Arms forum. Someone did a yellow Cav-15 and put the Dewalt sticker on it.
It's not that bad, actually.
I've seen MUCH worse...like a very rare, transferrable Colt 9mm SMG that had been completely redone in multi-colored splashes over PINK (almost magenta, really) anodizing on both the upper and lower receiver. At least the rifles you've shown here can be restored to their correct appearance just by swapping out the buttstock, handguards, and pistol grip. Trivial. CJ |
Aviator sold one of those Dewalt Cav's...from what I remember he sold it cheap too...I didn't have the money at that point in time. [>(]
That's nothing that's just the plastic. Watson's weapons does that in actual anodizing to entire weapons including transferable M16s.
I guess paintballers are thier target audience. goto Products then Custom AR15 tab. http://www.watsonsweapons.com |

When I bought my Remington 40xc, it was a funky electric blue, since the guy used it in competition. Anyway, I was only able to take it to the range ONCE before i had to repaint it. I was too embarrassed to even show my family, althought i did (to snickers and laughs).
Guns are meant to be rough and manly and purposeful or as works of art in the wood, metal, etc. Work of art is best left to thinking in the 19th century sense, not the 80's sense (or lack thereof). After all that, I just have to say, DAMN THEM RIFLES IS OOGLY! |
God. I love those guns. Nothing like a bunch o' gawdy crap hangin' of a gun to embarress your buddies. I now know what my project AR will look like. Hee hee hee hee hee [}:D]
Suddenly I have an irresistible urge to paint my AR in full-spectrum prismatic 'fade' paint. You know, the kind that changes color according to the angle of the light. It's red...no, it's green!...No, it's purple...no...gold....ah, crap!

Hey if I "rice-out" my rifle like ricers do their cars will I shoot better?
Maybe it's just me, but I think the red & black looks pretty damn cool. Aaaww...what the hell...it's only $60, right?
Those look like something that would be carried by the Honor Guard for a Gay Pride Parade...
...not that there's anything WRONG with that! Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got to get back to decoupaging my Bushmaster. |

I kinda like the blue one and the red one is cool too. Now the ones further down....they're a bit limp wristed.
HA!!
My buddy drives a riced-out car. He now wants to pimp out his rifle. Reflective stickers, funky paint, hang all types of shit off it. I think some people are born without taste. Av. |
I think CavArms needs to make a rainbow-colored rifle.
for the chilldren.[puke] |
Why should it be illegal? Granted, I doubt I would do something like this to one of MY AR's however if I bought another(we all need more AR's) for my girlfriend and it brought her to range with me more often, damn straight I'd do it..

wish you guys could see my AR. Hot pink, neon green, neon blue, black, and a few other colors.
Of course, I bought an extra pair of handguards and a spare buttstock (used)and did it to the spares...... Parrot head cammie. I can sneak into Jimmy Buffett concerts without it being seen........ |
Saw a metallic blue & spackle painted 'varmiter' one with the float tube in a "Gun Games" mag a while ago about comp shooting and was really impressed. Stainless barrel, PSG1 style grip....hey, its NOT a combat weapon, its a range queen. Just like race cars with garish paint jobs, I see nothing wrong with it and just might "do that" to the AR10 I'm thinking about here...
Oh, and incidently, to an extent, I drive a "riced out" Fiero. And I liked "The Fast and the Furious" even though I know enough about cars to know how complete and total crap it was. I guess I'm just not a bitter old bastard with no life who cant keep an open mind and enjoy things for what they are... |
Those aren't that bad (the first two, anyway.)
What about that pimped-out chrome plated "Commemorative" AR-15 they were advertising in American Rifleman a couple of months ago? That was hideous! |
Pimp Gun.It never fails to amaze me how much shit/hardware people will put on a weapon so they will be in tune with the current fad/craze.
Come on, you guys are missing the brilliance of it. Can you imagine a press conference where they are talking about banning AR clones and you bring out a silver and pink pimped out barbi gun? Feinstein is saying, "This is the weapon of choice of criminals" while everyone is snickering and laughing. Hey, you can't ban a pink gun!
I want one of those glow in the dark ARs .. freaking neighbors will love me in my ninja outfit, night vision and the glow in the dark gun hunting their cats..
Where's the fringe? Got to have one with fringe or dingle berries along the bottom of the butt stock, purple would be nice. A tiny mirrored disco ball dangling from the front sling swivel. Some neon lighting or chasing rope lights would be cool too. I see a contest in the works, the most pimped out but functional rifle contest. Has to be self contained, batteries are ok but no extension cords.[@:D]

I work for a major oil co. and we are soo pc now. I might do one in blue and add their stickers to it . Take a pic of it and use it as a screen saver at work. Boy that will be neat.
Wonder how long it will be before I offend someone with that screen saver. |

I have seen them in Woodland Camo, but I want one in Tiger Stripe.

What the heck...
I've got a spare A2 buttstock in fair but definitely used condition, and the same goes for a set of A2 handguards and also a spare pistol grip. And I've got this gorgeous medium blue metallic , professional use only Dupont ChromaBase auto paint just sitting here, waiting to be used for some project or other... Do I dare? I just might! I've also got some candy apple red... What else is in my paint locker, waiting for the right project? An amazingly vivid shade of scarlet... Dark metallic blue, almost navy blue... Gloss black Pearl overcoat...for ANY color! Gloss black with pearl...hmm... I think I'm about to do something experimental! CJ |
I am dreaming of a website where I can pick the receiver, furniture, grip, and other colors and have the AR image change.
Similar to functionality of the mini cooper webpage. |

I did it. I actually painted a used stock and used pair of handguards (all A2) today in medium metallic blue, as I threatened. They're done and I put them on the rifle.
Not bad, actually. It helps that I'm a semi-pro painter so the finish is automotive in type and professional in quality. (DuPont ChromaBase system, with urethane topcoat) No drips, runs, or sags, just high gloss metallic blue. I figure I'll probably switch back to black in a week or so, but I think I might paint up a few more stock sets and see if I can sell them at the next gun show at a dealer's table. (A friend of mine.) I figure I can make it worth my while to sell them for 30 bucks over the price of the guards and stocks themselves. (30 over for the guards, another 30 over for the stock...and 10 over for the pistol grip if wanted.) So how does metallic blue furniture look on an AR? Well, I can't show you as I don't have a digital camera or a place to park the pics anyway, but it actually looks pretty good. It's not particularly flashy but it does get your attention. CJ |

Hey MrP,
You're not flashing back to the old Deadhead days are you. A tie dyed AR would be cool, or maybe something like a fractal design on it. |
