The RPG comment makes me kind of want one now and run around the range at a 3gun match with it yelling KABOOM!!!! every time I shoot
I think he played it too safe and that there shouldn't be a tactical color to his guns in the line up. He should have tried selling to the bike community not the AR one. Flames/ Skulls/ Chrome/ Bright colors/ pearled colors Also they do look very generic for a "Custom Builder" p.s. Why was this moved to GD? I had it in AR Discussion- is this thread not discussing an AR-15?????????? |

Jesse Jame's 1911 is ill perceived on the 1911 forum too. I think it is a rebadged STI gun with added flair. STI makes excellent guns, but they sell for significantly less than what Jesse wants. He may be excellent with mechanical and metal fabrication, but he hasn't really sold himself as a gunsmith. I don't think this is much different from Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton with a perfume line. I also think the buttplug screams don't take me serious. I think with a better logo people would look at his gun for what it is; an overpriced gun with a few nice custom features and a celebrity endorsement instead of a joke. I hope he does ok, there is plenty enough room for him in the semi custom 1911 market. The waiting list at Wilson Combat and Cabot Gun is excessive.

Those guns could not suck ass more than they do. They are actually cringe inducing.
The problem that these "custom" guys have is that the big factories already sell a superb product to the consumers, So the only option the customizers have is to change stuff purely just for the sake of changing it. You could buy top of the line guns, a Colt 6920 and a colt 1911 gold cup stainless for about $1000 each get a quality 223 suppressor for maybe $900 including the tax That would put you at right around $3000 The 1911 would not need any custom work But if you wanted a good target trigger for the AR, figure another $300 and if you want a SBR upper to go with the can figure another $200 for the tax stamp. So at $3500 you'd have an AR and 1911 that would shit all over that laughable corny mess the guy is offering. Both in terms of quality and appearance. |
