Amazon customer service was pretty cool today.  I ordered an auto part that had a 12 month warranty that failed after 3 months.  I called amazon today and they are sending a replacement out for free.  They even upgraded it to Saturday delivery at no charge.  I have to send the broken part back.  I was a little worried that they would tell me to deal with the manufacturer.  At best I thought I would have to send mine back first.  But they came through.

Now dealing with the accent was another issue.  I could barely understand the guy.  He even threw in some slang.  I guess it was slang.  I have no idea what it was.  I am in IT so I have some experience dealing with accents but this one was tough.  I think he was from Alabama or Tennessee.

I just had a good experience with them also.  Ordered a fishfinder/gps thingy, they sent the lesser model.  One email and they credited my account $80 even though it was only a $50 cheaper model.

Out of curiosity, what was the part that failed after 3 months?

Similar experience except they also credited my account with $20 for my time.  Looks like they want me to be a customer more than they do you.

When I lived in California, I once had a patio installed by a bunch of Mexicans, and some 'ol boy from Georgia I nicknamed "Boomhauer", because I swear to God, you couldn't tell them apart.

While they were there, I joked that I had one white guy and a bunch of Mexicans pouring concrete for me, and none of them spoke English.

Were you dealing with Amazon direct or some 3rd party Amazon Marketplace seller?

Direct.  I try not to deal with third parties.  I had a bad experience with a return before.

Amazon customer service has always taken stellar care of any issues I've had from my Amazon dealings.

I have always had good service with Amazon too, I haven't had to return much to them, but it sure seems like the always overestimate their delivery dates. I just ordered a bunch of Royal Purple motor oil, and a can of Royal Purple gun oil, got it all like three days before they said I probably would.

So you're saying they were speaking "English."

FedEx completely lost an order of mine from Amazon Prime. Just "disappeared" and they had no idea what happened to it after their "investigation" Amazon sent me another order UPS this time ;) No muss, no fuss. Just provided them my case number from FedEx.

Good to know that they have good customer service.  I've never had to return anything to them and had wondered if it would be a clusterfuck if I ever did.  I buy damn near everything off that site.

Amazon has always done well by me. A couple years back a Kindle that was supposedly delivered somehow never made it to my door.
They had a new one to me in time for Christmas. Their shipping has always been fast, usually getting to me before it was supposed to.

Damn Id be pissed that I'd have to install it again. Isn't Duramax water pumps the ones that are way under the front end?

Of places I've had to return faulty products Amazon has been the tits. I've even been refunded before they received my returns.

Ordered a coil for my truck, last one in stock. Came in and guess was for a different year since the electrical connector was different. Quick refund request on website and I end up a refund and they told me to just keep the part.

Yes.  You have to take a bunch of things off to get to the pump including the balancer.

their CS is very good.  Bought a pair of gloves that said they came in a 2 pack.  Only one came, sent an email and within the hour had a refund of half off the gloves.
