Our young female GSD, who gets PLENTY of high-quality blue buffalo food and snacks, will not rest until she gets a tidbit off of mom and dad's supper plates.
If you give her just one little bite of what you are eating, she is satisfied and goes and lays down. But she seems to think the pack should share all food and she wants her symbolic "one bite." It's like a contest of wills. And yes I tend to spoil my dogs somewhat. This one was a rescue who was near death's door when I got her and I tend to always remember her starving and with mange looking so sad. If you saw her now, you would never know how bad off she was. TLC, high quallity food and good vet care can work miracles with a pup. |
