I was going to upgrade my computer but it really runs great, fast and no problems.
The only thing is I want a CD burner and want to know if that is all I need to buy is an external CDrw so I can down load my digital pics and save them to a CD instead of a 3 1/2 floppy which holds about 4 pics.
Is a CDrw the same thing as a CD burner?
And can I hook up the CDrw to my usb hub it holds 7 things and has an external power supply?

Same thing but USB are known to run slower.  Though USB 2.0 is supposed to be fast.  You may have to buy a new card for it.

CD ReWriteables are CD burners. They have the capability to burn recordable CDs and rewrite on rewriteable CDs.

Whatever you do, don't buy Imation CDR's or CDRW's, they don't freaking work.

A USB burner will burn at a max of 4X.Hooking up one through a hub will more than likely make a few coasters. If you get a PCI USB 2.0 or firewire card it would burn at the rated speed or close to it.Just make shure to get a 2.0 burner
