I was browsing the ads today.....wow.....a lot of stuff for sale but the prices people are asking is pure
$475 for used S&W Shield $600 for Glock 21 with 500 rounds down the pipe $22 PMC brass 9/MM per 50 I wonder if people are simply trying to get what they overpaid for in 2013? I would understand if its isolated but I am seeing a lot of it....I suppose someone is paying it but wow |
Its nuts. I look on northeast shooters, and people are asking 700-900 for used Glocks. Then you look at the ad and it has been bumped 10 times but they can't figure out why it hasn't sold? Meh whatever, there is a sucker born every minute, so maybe someone will eventually buy it.

All the pristine AR-15's that they paid retarded prices for last year are still showing up. Alot of them slap on a bunch of cheap chinese accesories and call it "custom" so they can try to justify the $1500 price for a DPMS oracle. Lots of good deals on armslist, you just got to be patient careful. I won't deal with anybody who won't talk to me on the phone. |

Only way I can imagine they're selling 800$ used glock 17's with faded N/S. I've bought tons of guns locally but I have yet to have an armslist deal go through. There's a guy locally selling a Stainless SA 1911 GI. I offered him an upper and some mags/cash. The gun has idiot marks ALL over it that he described as "slide wear". . . . He asked for more $$ (more than they run on GB) and when I told him he has scratches all over his gun he responded by telling me not to waste his time. . . . Guess who has a new add up with new pictures that don't show ANY of the severe wear on the gun. |

I actually have been able to do a couple of deals on FTF transactions but nothing recently......something going on right now.... not sure what's up other than prices...then again every time I walk into the local gander Mountain I shake my head but guess what.....people are in there filling out 4473's |

I have bought a few things on Armslist , good deals when I did. Most of the time it is just to overpriced to be serious. +1 If it's something I want and know about what the "current" market price is and what a "new" one will cost me from my favorite three local Gun Shops (that are reasonable and have good deals) then I send them an offer depending on age/pic/description. If they reject it and send me some crazy reason why it's "worth" so much I send a reply along the lines of "thanks but I can buy new from X" and let it go. No big deal, no reason to get upset. |

I was interested in a Colt Commander that the owner had "upgraded" to use his terms.....he got all pissy when I asked him if he had the original parts he had taken off.....lol |

I'm trying to sell a rifle on there now....
I live near Memphis, TN...right at the very top of Mississippi. A guy just sent an email asking if I would meet him in Hattiesburg, MS. That's 4 and a half hours. Hah, no. If you are a member on here, next time check out Google Maps before asking stupid questions.
