| Can anyone give me a straight definition for the Brady Law and Assault Weapons ban. I have reviewed them but they were confusing. Just looking for a straightforward, main point definition. Have to explain them to a class for a paper |

There is no such thing as a straightforward definition when you are dealing with gun control. Look up the recent Brady quotes on the sniper shootings. "Assault Weapons" as they are codified in law, are banned, but the sickos want to have a more encompassing definition of assault weapons. Bushmaster and other AR clone manufacturers "flaunted the spirit of the law". The Brady Bunch had 9 years to write the bill from their first conception, and now they are saying that the gun manufacturers obeyed the letter of the law, but not the spirit. How many first steps do they need? How many chances do they need before they are forced to admit that gun control doesn't do anything about the real problem, which is crime? Take THAT to your class. |

You dont need paper work to own one,but believe me they will punch your porch lite out! Then an appropriate ban on black powder ball pistols will be quick to be on the Black Gun List! Take that to school also! Bob [:D] I remember from my history class that someone tried to do this to Andrew Jackson. He had 2 dueling pistols, tried to shoot Jackson, but both misfired. Jackson wound up beating the guy with his cane until the police detained the would-be assassin. The pistols were tested afterwards and never misfired. The odds of both misfiring were 125,000 to 1. |
