I have a few smiths, a couple rugers and one Taurus .38

The Taurus still shoots great but I've noticed the cylinder is slightly looser than my other wheel guns.

Any thoughts ?

I was still shooting fist sized groups off hand a 25 yards into the 10 ring which isn't bad for an 150$ revolver

Looser how? Rotational? Front back? Left right?

Loose at rest or at lockup?

It's a Taurus. That's it. If you're happy with it, keep it.

It's a Taurus, be happy it don't bind and actually has rifling in the barrel.

I have owned two Taurus handguns and both were lemons, there won't be a third.

That really tight lockup is expensive to produce.  Taurus is the cheap end of the revolver market.

With a good supply of new parts and some hand fitting (expensive), you can get that tight lockup on a Taurus also.

It's a....   you get the point.

Taurus makes decent 1911's, and cool poly frame semi-auto's, but they lost the art of revolver making.

The number one returned gun for warranty work at the store I worked at was Tarus revo's.

There are two types of revolvers in the world.

1.  S&Ws.
2.  Revolvers compared to S&Ws.
