It is way past time to replace my 10 year old desktop computer. We mainly use it for surfing the net and storing photos and music on it (no gaming) which is why this Pentium 2 boat anchor has lasted me this long Also, does this look like a good deal for $265? Refurbed HP Pavillion P7, AMD A8-3200 (2.5Ghz quad), 4GB DDR3, 1TB HDD, Windows 8 64-bit Thanks for the help. I am not a techie- jut got a smart phone two weeks ago... |

For what you use it for that is plenty good enough. The memory is a little on the small size for running win8, but if you truly are doing nothing but surfing or mail it will be ok. Heck for what you are paying, even if it dies after a few years, you still got your monies worth. |

Thanks. It is from Newegg's refurb program so it isn't sold as under the HP brand; I'm guessing the warranty is through a third part refurb company and not HP. Still worth it?
There is a Tigerdirect store local to me which would make returns easier if necessary. They have a lot of refurbs and off-lease desktops, but nothing matching the specs posted for the price. Mostly dual cores which would still be light years better than what I currently have. |
