[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Reloaders suck rant (Page 1 of 12)

Do you reload? Do you have a bench (or magazine) full of powder? FUCK YOU. Yeah, fuck you. You powder hoarding douche. You won't be happy until EVERYONE suffers.
For how many fucking years have I heard "you should start reloading" from some old timer whenever I would bring up the subject of factory ammo? How many fucking times have I taken heat from some guy that says "I could have reloaded XXX-number of rounds for what you paid for factory loads"? How many times has there been a thread on THIS site, lambasting anyone who bothers to fucking wake up early and go to a Walmart for factory ammo, instantly labeling them hoarders, flippers, capitalist pigs, or worse? Sure, if you shoot 50BMG, shotgun, or rifle...there's some powder to be found. But if you're looking to roll competition 9mm, you're just shit out of mother fucking luck. Yeah, I've looked in all the usual powder places...I've left nary a fucking stone unturned. If you're going to mention any major fucking online retailer or any search site with "bot" or "seek" in the title, I've already been there and done that. Yes, I've already left restock alerts all over North America. The truth is -- there is no fucking decent premium pistol powder available anywhere in the country. Not for the last month that I've been actively looking (several times a day)...now that I finally got a Dillon XL650 up and ready to roll -- there's not a single jug of Tightgroup, Trueblue, 3N37 or similar to be had. Even basic pistol powders like 231 and HP38 have been back ordered indefinitely. Sure -- you might find some Unique if you're lucky, but I didn't come all this way to burn Unique (no offense to those that do) Why? Because reloaders are even worse fucking hoarders than factory ammo buyers. You MOTHER-F*CKER$! Every last one of you. I hate you all. I hope the next time you beat me to a new 8# jug while you're still sitting on 40#'s of powder that your credit card literally melts on your trigger finger. There is a special place in hell for whomever beats me to the next shipment. ETA: Already have Primers, Projectiles, Brass, and Factory ammo to last several years....being prepared has nothing to do with starting a new hobby. And we're supposedly NOT in a panic now, so WTF? ETA: More FUCKS added |
|
I hear you - I hate those guys too.
On a totally unrelated subject.....I talked with Dad today and he said my Son wants to go shooting on Friday. Looks like that will make about 4 or 5 of us now. I'll have to jump on the unrelated red machine and pop out a quick 300 or 400 more rounds to shoot. |

Ain't guns illegal in California? Maybe it's the reloading powder? Lead? Yeah! Lead it is! My AR looks just like yours..........except for the little boooolit button....more like a boooolit nipple if you ask me.... So, yeah, my combat reloads are handicapped. |

Well, mine still have the price tag from the store still on them |
| The last time I bought reloading supplies was in 2008 and I still have plenty. It sucks if you are new to the game and can't find anything but I have zero sympathy if this isn't your first time around the block. Buy when on sale as much as you need or anticipate needing. |

I've been sitting on 20 lbs of powder, several thousand primers, tens of thousands of pills and a buttload of brass for several years. Why do we care if you're to vapid to prepare? |

Quoted: Being prepared sucks huh? After the last panic my friends and I decided we do not want to deal with that shit again, so we started purchasing the powder, primers, and projectiles we use in bulk. During this whole shit storm we have been good to go. Now, when it comes to playing with a new caliber, or trying different powders, things have been hard to get. Ya know what? It sucks, but fucking deal with it. I feel bad for those who are just starting off, or for those who ran out of their go to powder, but I have no tolerance for mightier than thou (13er's) people like you who talk shit about those of us who were prepared. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v470/meestermurphy/allow-me-to-dredge-some-care_zps7d75b4e5.jpg |

Huh, powder is relatively availible around here, not pre panic, but I can score something within an hour drive. Bullets are kinda difficult though, I'm slightly more picky about those.
Then again I'm flexible, and I don't mind using old school powders like bullseye and unique, which work fine and are responsible for some of my most accurate loads. |

My point was all you long time reloaders with your mantra of "come on in - the water's fine..." bullshit....you all knew all along that there was no powder to be had. I've been had, I've been took, I've been hood-winked, I've been bamboozled, led astray, run amok, this is what the reloader does. |

There's plenty of powder available. If you're willing to pay the going rate. Hint: The marked price at all the places where it is currently out of stock is not the going rate. Understood, and I'd be willing to pay. But there's no powder in the LGS around here other than for shotguns or .50 BMG. Same at all the online vendors I've had notifications on for months. Haven't even got a notification of anything being in stock. Primers and the bullets I want to use, not a problem. There's just no suitable powder to be had. |

Fuck you, 'teener.
I am sitting on about 50 pounds of pistol, and 30 pounds of rifle powders. I haven't bought any in over a year. all but the Herco has been in my possession for over 5 years. I bought 36 pounds of Herco as part of a group buy, but got stuck when the other buyers backed out. I have loaded a couple of pounds, used a 6 pound jug to pay my mechanic, and I will just sit on the rest until it is gone. I have over 2,000 pounds of lead alloy and 40 moulds. 15k primers. All of which I got slowly over the last ten years. Not my fault you got caught out. I hate the whiners "you bought what I want.." Pussies. |
|
Quoted: Do you reload? Do you have a bench (or magazine) full of powder? FUCK YOU. Why don't you regale us of how superior your hand loads are to factory ammo? Oh wait, can't find components? Boo fucking hoo! Fucking re-loaders, crying all the time. The most emotionally delicate of all shooters. |
|
take this a lesson. Stuff is coming back slowly. i think powder will be back in 3 - 4 months. Take this opportunity to buy bullets, primers now. As soon as powder is back, buy a bunch. Asking for sympathy to your plight on GD is like asking for mercy from Caeser.
then at the next drought, you can be the one scolding those unprepared |
