| Tomorrow is Dec. 1. The lakes, creeks and ground are not frozen. The temperature is around 40 and it's been raining for the past 2 weeks. This is very odd for Alaska. It has been colder in Florida than it has been here. What is your winter like this year? |

This has been a warm record breaker winter. You heard about the guy getting attacked by a bear deer hunting in PWS last week. Even the bears are confused. They should be hibernating. The only thing constant here so far are the days getting shorter and nights longer. I'm on the North Gulf Coast in the snow capitol of Alaska so I know whats coming. And I'm more than ready. HOw about you? |

South -central Oregon coast, 0650 hours, 46 degrees. No rain to speak of yet this winter, we are very dry, wells going dry. I can see bottom in my hand dug well, although the sand point is 3-4 feet lower I may go dry anytime. We need rain bad, way below averages for last 2 years. |

HOw about you? I'm in the Matanuska Valley. No snow on the ground at all here. We should be knee deep in snow by now. |

In Ohio, if you don't like the weather, wait a few min. & it will change. Been cold and windy last several days. Already have had more snow than I remember for number of nears. Often get none til after Christmas. Sure do love my wood stove; almost as much as my cat does! |

Hell, I am enjoying it. The General Manager, through his wisdom in Vancouver, is making us build roofs and storage sheds now that winter is here, NE of Delta. 3 winters ago we had a looooong stretch where the high did not get above -40. I don't mind not having snow to shovel just to get into my flipping driveway after a 320 mile trip to get home. I should buy that Bobcat I've been thinking of. But then, I would like to try out my snowmachine - it was funny a week ago, watching all the trucks towing snowmachines from Eureka to Paxton looking for a big enough patch of snow to ride on. |
