I know this should be in the  fitness forum but I thought it might get a bit more traffic here.  Does anyone here know of a whey protein powder that doesn't have aspartame in it?  Thanks in advance.

Best place for protein IMO.  If you can't find it there it may not exist, protein-wise anyway.

My doctor was a team doctor in the olympics.  He said to stay away from any supplement manufactured in China because their listed ingredient lists are frequently incorrect.  They sometimes contain enough banned substances that atheletes can be disqualified.

From Wikipedia:

Protein adulteration in the People's Republic of China refers to the adulteration and contamination of several food and feed ingredients with inexpensive melamine and other compounds such as cyanuric acid, ammeline and ammelide. These adulterants can be used to inflate the apparent protein content of products, so that inexpensive ingredients can pass for more expensive, concentrated proteins. Melamine by itself has not been thought to be very toxic to animals or humans except possibly in very high concentrations, but the combination of melamine and cyanuric acid has been implicated in kidney failure. Reports that cyanuric acid may be an independently and potentially widely used adulterant in China have heightened concerns for both animal and human health.

My doctor suggested EAS and that is what I use.

Ingredients: Whey Protein Concentrate (Whey Protein Concentrate, Soy Lecithin), Corn Maltodextrin, Natural & Artificial Flavor, Salt, Whey Protein Isolate, Carageenan, Xanthan Gum, Acesulfame Potassium, and Sucralose.

It is not the cheapest but I feel confident that I know what I am eating.

It has creatine in it though. Obligatory creatine in addition to your whey is kind of lame.

I'm pretty sure that Vitamin Shoppe way uses sucralose. It's the best protein I've used, especially for the price. Nothing but whey protein in it.
