I just got my first GoPro and I was wondering if any GoPro users had any tips on:
-filming in general
-mounts and DIY mounts
-editing software
-mounting on guns
-and other tips and tricks

thanks!

I made a DIY magnet mount and went muddin. Lot's of fun, lot's of good footage. I had to stop more than a few times to clean it off though.

The key, I have found, to making interesting videos is to film from at least two different perspectives, then edit the two into one.

Even a fire fight is boring if it's all one POV.  Showing an activity, movement, action from one angle, then switching to show the affect, result, reaction, etc. from a different angle makes the film much more interesting.
