What do you folks think, is sugar addiction real or just pseudo-science??? ERic The only thing that could be considered addictive in sugar is the fact that it makes you release endorphins. So in a round about way it could be considered addictive ... if you are a fat ass. |

Real.
I'm not a huge fatass, but about 2 years ago I realized I was addicted to carbs/sugars. Any form of them would meet my need, but a couple of times a day I'd have to get my fix. It took about two weeks of NO carbs to break through, then I was able to lose about 10lbs and remove myself from the carb dependence and keep my energy level on an even plane through the day. I'm not so good about it now, but I'm still not as dependent as I was . Edit: Carbs are- Glucose (grain sugars) Fructose (fruit sugars) Sucrose (refined or sweetener sugars) Lactose (milk sugars) Alcohol I went off them ALL for about 2 months, tough but well worth it. |
