My whole house has about 50 high hat light flood light fixtures that were designed for 120W high hat bulbs.
Since I can't buy them any more, what LED bulb alternatives do I have?

1. They need to have roughly the same size as my existing high hats so they don't look weird.
2. They need the same equivalent 120 watt light output.
3.  They should put out the same color light as incandescent.
4.  They should not break the bank!

Expensive!!!  I was hoping to keep it under $10 each.
How is the color on those anyway?

ETA:  I just read the reviews.... these are more like a spot light... I need FLOOD.

The color temp of old incans is around 3000-3500K. I prefer a 5K or 6500K. You can get a 100\120 Watt equivalent in flood or spot. Try a few different color temps, the K rating on there box and find what you like. A brilliant white light will appear brighter. Also is they are on a dimmer change dimmer to one rated for LED or you will get flickering and poor dimming. Let me know if you need further help I have installed thousands of LED lamps and dimmers to match.

Yes, they will all be on dimmers.
I thought soft white was about 2700K?

I've been buying them on Ebay.  About $5, shipped from China.

Search for terms such as E27 and spotlight.

I buy 1-2, receive it, and make certain that it works/looks okay.  Then I buy more.

Cree Warm White 65W equivalent at Home Depot. $19.

They are the same color and light pattern as an incandescent and are made in North Carolina. I have tried the others and rejected them as cold and brittle light, I love these.

Soft white is 2700K

3000K+ is daylight, bluer light, "true color", good for garages, shops, etc.,  but feels too cold in a home.

Those are 130 VOLT versions of 120 watt bulbs!  And they buzz.   I made the mistake of taking bad GD advice to buy those (I bought 200) and they are dimmer and yellower than the 120 Volt version.

I don't think LED and cheap mix just yet.  The few I've bought have impressed me though.

MR16 bulbs where about $7 each and had about 20 LEDs, yet work great on my porch.  Oh, and they don't attract bugs!

For the back porch I wanted the same elimination of bugs so I went with a Cree bulb from Home Depot to replace the CFL. Instant on, bright at about $15

I have a ton of PAR30 short necks, but at $30-$50 a bulb and a life of 20 years, I'm not ready to roll the dice just yet. I'd like to see these come way down in price.

Yeah, it looks like I'm in for over $30/bulb.

I replaced one with a LED bulb.  Had to try 3 different brands before I found one that wasn't blue.

I need to get about a dozen more, but the one I finally liked was $55 shipped.  Not going to buy anything till the prices are under 7 bucks a pop.
