I've been trying all day to upload some pics from my PC to various websites.  I though at first it was the size (pics are about 1.3mb), but when I try to upload a 50K pic, that doesn't work either.  It either just sits there or takes me to a web page unavailable.  Any suggestions.

it may be firewall interference.

Go here:  http://www.pcpitstop.com/internet/bandwidthup.asp

Hit test and see what you get.

We can go from there.

Is this a new broadband hookup?

I'm just using the upload feature for the AT&T personal web pages.  It's not a new hookup, I've had it for about 2 months.  When I go to that website, the page locks up and I have to use the task manager to close it.  Not set up on a LAN, this is the only computer in the house and it is connected directly to the incoming coax.

Tried that, I keep getting error messages saying I don't have permission to copy stuff to the server.

First off are you logged in as your primary account?
Second are you uploading to your website that att provides, or someone else?
Finally what browser are you using?

And I am using IE6.

Are there any spaces in the names of the files you are trying to upload.
I got that message when I tried files that had spaces in them.

Check your privacy tab, and security settings to see if you are being blocked at that web site.
If it still doesn't work, consider using the http uploader, and if you still can't get through use netscape as I don't have problems with that.
If you still can't get through, I will try it with IE tonight.

Sounds like your ISP doesn't have the web server set up properly to allow you to upload.  Might want to call them and verify your access info.

They give you web space for each email address you have with them.  Have you tried using another address? If some how your main account is screwed you may be able to get in with the other one.
