So the Mrs. tells me about one of her employees this morning.
Seems this guy making 6 figures also gets a significant credit towards his health insurance, on the company's dime. To the tune of $510/month, on top of his already inflated salary. If the employee doesn't need to use the entire credit, the remaining credit balance is forfeited. So it turns out he had about $11 left over, monthly, or $132/year. Mrs. was walking past his office and he calls out that he's got a few questions. So she steps in and this guy says that he thinks he should get the leftover money. Remember now, this is EXTRA tax-free money the company gives him to pay against his health insurance, as a benefit, and it is clearly explained that any remaining balance is forfeit. So my wife, the most awesomest wife in the history of wifedom, looks this guy square in the eyes and says "You greedy motherfucker." The guy then says "In some cultures, motherfucker is a term of endearment", to which she replied "You keep telling yourself that, bless your heart". And she turned on her heel and marched on out. I thought it might be a show that I would go to , it just has that feel to it. Haynes' sound was muddy and crappy. Primus' sound was beyond phenomenal. Haynes opened. Same sound rig. Was my first time seeing Primus, and while Les Claypool isn't everyone's cup of tea, I had a fantastic time. They had 3D video set up over the stage, and handed out 3D glasses upon entry. |
