Got to hear his story in person and spend some time with the man, what an American legacy! Our country is great because of men like him and what he has done.
Truly a great story and a giant of a man (even though he is shorter than my 7 y/o son). |

I haven't read the article yet, but wanted to note that many of the 101st were dropped / scattered all over the place on D-Day, with many of them joining up and fighting with the 82nd. Mt great Uncle (deceased last year) was 101st but fought with the 82nd on D-Day after landing far away from where he was supposed to be. Most of his unit didn't make it out. My Uncle always felt like he was part 101st and 82nd. |

Some of the remaining men in the 101st would have been reassigned to the 82nd. |
