From what I have learned over the past few days, you are a bit late to get into the mining unless you want to throw a chunk of $$$ at it. You can get into trading anytime, but better plan ahead cuz it's a pain in the ass to get a hold of coins to start with. I just bought some on Ebay for about 3X spot price so I could play. I haven't received them yet....
