Tiger. Easily. They are solitary animals, where as lions, by instinct, rely on other lions. The lion does have the advantage of "play" fighting(training), and having a mane which act as armor, but the tiger would just be too much in the end. Not having the "I have backup" instinct, he would be much, much more aggressive, and probably end the fight pretty quickly, if I had to guess.
I do have to say I prefer lions though. Just a very cool animal IMO. |

Also, since armour was infantry support, it's field of fire was fine when they they were designed. If you are assaulting a infantry pposition, it gives the driver something to shoot. Bradley? It gave the ground pounders in the back something to shoot at the burning BMPs.
