You want to look in Mohave County. Kingman, Bullhead, Golden Valley area.

I think you might like the Kingman area as stated by In_By. I don't know of the job opportunity in that area though. You'd be looking at some very hot, very dry land. I've been there a few times to visit relatives. I also kind of like the part of Arizona just across from Laughlin NV. I'm more of a snow-lover though, so I'll stick with Minnesota (even though land isn't really cheap).

I was born and raised and went to college in MI, been in AZ for 23 years now. I work in the Aerospace industry and that market is poor now, many ppl layed off, so those jobs are tough to find in general. Construction jobs abound, but because of no real unions pay is pretty low at least at first. Lots of inexpensive labor available here, that is why housing is so reasonable. But lots of good gun shops and gunsmiths in the area.
I am in the Phoenix area and let me tell you about long hot Summers! Overall it is no worse than long cold winters. Best wishes! |
