Who has one? Do you like it? Looks to be a better alternative to the AR7 which I had and was a jamomatic. |
| I have one...that I just sold...however I only sold it because the take down feature was more of a novelty than something I needed. It is the most accurate factory 10/22 I've ever owned and I had no function issues with it. It even worked 100% with Golden Bullets..except for the duds with those. |

I have one AND I got a quick disconnect scope mount with a scope. all fits nice in the pack. accurate every single time I assemble it. Ruger was BRILLIANT to come out with this. THey obviously did their homework. I think I will even add a headbang to this post: ![]() |

Got one--it was great out of the box, but it went to Gemtech to have the barrel bobbed to 16.5" & threaded for a can....also, a tritium front sight, just like my Armalite AR-7.
My Armalite works great with CCI MiniMags, no jamming issues. The 10/22 "feels" like a real rifle, while the 2.5lb AR feels light. Armalite AR-7s show up on GunBroker from around $250, if size & weight really is important. But you won't be disappointed with the Ruger. Cheers! |

What scope are people using? I just put a Tasco 4X on it for kicks and attached it with Weaver cheap mounts. What amazes me is that I can take the gun down, remove the scope by the mounts and put it back together and it holds zero. It's a neat little gun. All fits in the case with two 25rd mags too. (Even the scope) |

I have one. I can't get the damn thing to shoot more than 3 shots without jamming. I'm about ready to saw both halfs in half! That's odd, I do mag dumps with mine and maybe jams once or twice in a couple of hundred rounds. Usually that is the ammo, not the gun. |

I do, and love it! Barrel chopped to 16.5, and ceracoated. http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r274/jeffreysox/photo-3.jpg Very nice. What glass is that? Why chop the barrel? |

I chopped the barrel since Ill usually have a suppressor attached to it, to cut down on the over all length. |

I wouldnt put it on anything you're trying to be too precise with, shooting over 100. It is pretty thick .

Who has one? Do you like it? Looks to be a better alternative to the AR7 which I had and was a jamomatic. I started going trapping & hunting with my Grandfather & Uncle at a young age. When i was finally of age to get my own license- The first rifle i ever owned, my Dad bought for me to take into the woods & kill my trapped animals with. It was a Marlin Papoose that came with it's own case that was easily slung over my shoulder, or i' could just put it in my backpack. I wish i still had it, if only for sentimental reasons... It was a great design. And they do still make them, but from what I've seen they've changed them a bit since 1984. |

Are butler creek mags any good? Gonna order some from psa along with some ruger ones or should I only buy Ruger mags. PSA has lime 4 brands. BC are really good mags, the steel lip ones last a long time. If the rugers are the same price would get them, but is the BC are cheaper don't be scared of them. |

Yep. Just got one. Stainless take down in Mossy Oak with a threaded barrel.
Put a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 on it. Downside is the reciever doesn't fit in the carrying pouch with the scope on it. Also, I can't get the scope quite far enough forward for optimum eye relief with the stock rail. Need to see if someone makes one that extends a bit farther forward. |

I have one, it is cool but not nearly as light/compact/Packable as my 40+ year old Armalite AR7, and the AR7 works great, it is not a jammer! What mfg. AR7 do you own? Years back (maybe 10) I looked @ the Henry version & the bolt looked like it had been put to a grinder, a good reason to stay away! |
