Boston is an awesome town, it's just full of fucking liberals.
I was there in 07, before some local elections were taking place. One of the campaign ads for school board of something was making a point of how much of a failure the incumbent guy was. The evidence he used was that the local schools were being out scored by schools in Alabama and Mississippi. That tells me how truly condescending their mentality is. They truly believe that their more intelligent than southerners. |
| Anything in the North East is fail. Food is good, but weather sucks, people are generally assholes, accents are horrible, the traffic is also horrible, Democrats are called Republicans, communists are called Democrats and little a hurricane shuts down everything for two weeks. |
|
Ah, I do miss the subway adverts. |

Scuse me while I go outside into clean air, talk to friendly people who speak English as a first language, take my AR with a bayonet lug and 30 round magazines to the range, then ride a motorcycle bought with no sales tax, without a helmet, on beautiful, uncrowded leaf-scattering twisty roads and drink unpasteurized cider from a farm stand. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-4UhdZw7yCsU/T0jcfHE-MiI/AAAAAAAAAiI/tNb3-Gqypq4/s1600/new-hampshire-sign-live-free-or-die.jpg Quoted:

Re: Boston, I work in the Boston/Cambridge area, and yes it has it's faults with much of the politics, but the city has a charm and character every modern city lacks. There's something about the "town" that has lots of charm. Great Rev war history to boot, and it's still mostly intact.

The buildings aren't too tall, not overwhelming, but just enough to make a nice glitter as you go along. They need to fix the damn lights under the bridges, though, they're almost all out. |

I think that was sarcasm. Though if the sound of gunfire is missed, all you have to do is go to Dorchester on a Saturday night. Quoted:

Can't wait until I'm out of the Army and living in MA Lol, really? I think that was sarcasm. Though if the sound of gunfire is missed, all you have to do is go to Dorchester on a Saturday night. It's actually half sarcasm. While I will miss the freedom I have grown accustomed to in the south, my wife's family lives up there, and it's where I am most likely to find a job in the field that I want to go into. Plus where we will live is like 15 minutes from a university that I can finish the last year of my bachelors at, and then knock out my masters. |

I lived in the south for 5 years between college and military.......it sucks having to pay a few hundred bucks more for a pre-ban receiver and pre-ban mags.......but its worth it to have educated people to talk to, a beautiful WALKABLE city, and places to eat out beyond fast-food and chain restaurants |

I grew up in MA, and there are a lot of liberals there, but what really keeps the state in full moonbeam liberalism is the corruption. I read a book recently on the Bulger brothers, and it detailed all the illegal/corrupt dealings that are the trademark of MA politics. Single party rule was in large part brought about by jerrymandering and the running of sham candidates: You're running against a guy named Jerry Reilly, you recruit someone else to run that's named Terry Reilly. Splits the vote, it's how JFK was first elected.
As I was reading the book, I was astonished to recognize the names of elected officials from my sleepy area that were knee deep in patronage and election fraud. The LibTards just think they are being enlightened by electing the same liberals year after year, too smug to look behind the curtain. Look at the wealth accumulated by Barney Frank..... Semper Fi |

Born in MA and lived there until I graduated college. I've been watching the Red Sox games the last couple of days. The rest of the family has been watching the Tigers game. Raffi |

Quoted: I was embarrassed for Boston watching them bitch about every single strike in game 1 of the ALCS. It was ridiculous and they were wrong every single time. I agree those check swings were mostly strikes. It's easier to tell on TV. At the pahk you are wrapped up in the mood and your team's body language.

![]() Boston sucks if you are driving a truck. I had to go into downtown once, and we circled for about an hour before we figured out how to get where we were going. And this was at 3am... Chicago is slightly more hostile to trucks. NYC is about the same, but a lot more expensive with all the tolls. I'm glad I don't drive OTR anymore. I hated all three of those places. |
