Ok..........I washed and waxed my wife's and my cars yesterday.

Couple of neighbor friends said, "total waste of time RDak with today's paints and finishes".

I said in my most sissy voice "no".

Did I waste my time waxing yesterday afternoon?

Wax on wax off.  I still wax my cars, not sure what they meant, it's news to me as well.

Baby momma thread did peg the retardometer when I clicked on it, but the problem with your thread is that pics arent loading.

Besides, taking care of your vehicle doesnt pay off now, it pays off in ten years when your old car looks new and thier old car looks old.

I just take mine thru the local carwash and it looks great. Now if I had a totally restored 63 'Vette or something, I might do it myself. But not for the daily driver.

Nothing else that I know about will bring out the paint and finish than a proper waxing and buffing. It will make the paint look 3 feet deep and shine.

Correct me if I am wrong but a good barrier ( Wax ) will protect from UV damage, bug damage and light scratchs.
