Glad to see I wasn't the only one stacking wood this weekend.
Still waiting on a bunch of stuff to season, so we brought in two cord yesterday. Only problem is about half of it's too big, fireplace length. Going to be spending some time on the saw next weekend or after work during the week it would seem. |

A cord of oak/madrone is around $300 here. Quoted:

In California that's probably pretty good. As long as it's not all punked out. Last time I was down in the Ramona area, about 10 years ago, people were selling shit wood for insane prices. A cord of oak/madrone is around $300 here. Holy SHIT! We're around half that for mixed seasoned hardwood delivered, no pine, no bullshit. Mostly red and white oak, this last load. Opposite end of the country though. Then there's the three cord of white oak I've got out there seasoning. That was free if you don't count the roof it took out, the gutter it took out twice, and the arborist's fee to send a dude up in a bucket truck to take it down. Most expensive free wood I ever seen. |

It might be a little less, $250 or so. At least it used to be back when I would help my dad stack it. That was around ten years ago, so I just assume it's gone way up like every other fucking thing.
