So there's no money to keep the WWII Memorial open, but plenty to do the flyover at the SF/Texans game.
Not that I'm complaining about the flyover, mind you, but hell, I'd like to see a little consistency. |

The national anthem will be highlighted by an Aero L-39 Albatros flyover from The Patriots Jet Team, an aerobatic display team based out of Discovery Bay, California. The Patriots Jet Team is civilian owned and operated and the pilots are comprised of former USAF Thunderbirds, USN Blue Angel, Royal Canadian Air Forces Snowbird, F/A-18 demo pilot, a P-51 instructor pilot and a current 747 contract pilot. They also initiated their own foundation (www.pjtf.org), which is dedicated to inspiring the youth of America with a love of aviation and aerospace. | NFL, MLB and NASCAR should get the Commemerative Air Force and the Collings Foundation to do flyovers on games and races. I don't know if there are enough old warbirds still airworthy to go around, but it'd be cooler than the Cessna Citation X I saw a couple weeks ago. |
