Just picked up a pair of stripped lowers. What do I build next? I have the M4gery, a "precision" gun and one in 300Blk.
Now I need some ideas for the next one. I was thinking of a 20" A2, for one of them. ETA: Make it a pic thread if you like. |

Thats a great idea, those things completely slipped my mind. That may just take up one of the lowers. Quoted:

Just built a pistol using the Sig arm stabilizer and really like it so far. Look into that. Thats a great idea, those things completely slipped my mind. That may just take up one of the lowers. I'll post pics later and you can judge the results |

Not sure if that would make it an A4 or an A5, I've heard both designations given to such a combination. But either way, 20 barrel plus adjustable stock FTW! |

Get yourself an orignal colt A1 barrel with a 1-12 twist add a flip up front sight base and the shortest single chamber muzzle brake you can find. Flat top upper, Midwest SS hand guards and Ace ultra light stock. add a good BCG, 3 pound single stage trigger, an extended Charging handle and your choice of of everything else. I might suggest an Aimpoint ML2 or 3 for optic.
Alterantively If you want to shoot long range with useing 65-75 grain bullets with a light weight rifle Do everything I just said but get a match grade A1 weight 1-8" barrel from Douglas or someone like that. |

If my memory isn't off, the A3 and A4 are both 20" flattop uppers on an A2 stocked lower. |

I'd say do the pistol. If I do a pistol I want a piston system with no buffer tube sticking out the back. Defeats the purpose IMO. Something like the RRA pistols.
Like this with a single point sling on the back. RRA PDS |

Either way, go the extra $160 bucks and get a NM freefloat sleeve. It's generally an improvement even for a USGI bbl. |

That's right! I have a ton of 5.45 ammo and nothing to shoot it out of. I think you just figured it out for me! Quoted:

AR pistol(s) Handgun calibers 9mm or .45 5.45 None of those will break the bank ammo wise compared to all the 6.8's or 6.5's etc That's right! I have a ton of 5.45 ammo and nothing to shoot it out of. I think you just figured it out for me! If you find a bolt for 5.45 I would appreciate a source, the least you could do for the idea huh huh? Seriously though good luck with the build, ive been itching to make one lately |

Already have the 300, and the can is pending. Ive never had much interest in the 6.8. What can that do, that I couldnt with 556 or 300blk? Quoted:
