| I have been using my Prime account for a few months(it is great) and I'm wondering if there is any benefit to getting the Rewards Visa also? |
Yes, there is great benefit. 3x points (essentially 3% cash back) on amazon purchases 2x points on restaurants and office supply places. I use it to eat out, since few other cards give out 2% on restaurants. Ok, so it's not really cash back, but redeemable on amazon purchases at 1¢ per point (no minimum redemption value). Quoted:
Just don't use the rewards points to buy stuff from Amazon directly. Use them for statement credits instead. Then buy your stuff with the Amazon card. More rewards that way. I have GOT to try this. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
| I love this card. I really avoid credit cards, but I just use this for Amazon purchases (since I live in the middle of nowhere, these are common) and have already gotten quite a bit of Amazon credits. Get it now while the gift card is $50 because I've seen it be $25, $20 or $10 at times. |

Thanks for the info. |

Been using one for years. If you shop a lot at Amazon, it's a no-brainer. Just don't use the rewards points to buy stuff from Amazon directly. Use them for statement credits instead. Then buy your stuff with the Amazon card. More rewards that way. Is there a min to redeem towards your statement ($50, etc...)? |
|
Meh.
Bank of America Visa Signature is a better card. 3% cash back on gas 2% cash back on groceries 1% cash back on all other purchases 10% cash bonus when redeem your rewards into a BofA checking account. $100.00 bonus for opening the card (I've seen it as high as $200 though) and 12 months no interest. |
