| I spoke with a guy at work from the philipines. I didn't even have to read the article to know that the "rebels" were Muslim. His cousin was beheaded by Muslims. Muslims in the Philipines are the same as they are everywhere else in the world. Instead of being productive they spend their time trying to figure out how to lay claim to the land and wage Jihad. "The prophet Muhammad looked in the direction of your island at one time therefore it is sacred muslim land forever". I'm glad the government is killing them. That is the only way to get rid of them, just like they did in Sri Lanka. |
| When I was a kid, I went to the Philippines as a missionary for a few months. I remember hauling ass down a jungle dirt road in the back of a five ton truck while gunfire was going off. Nice place to visit, southern PI is pristine. lots of bad guys there though. |
No complaint from me about the government killing the Moros. I had a coworker whose wife was almost blown up by a landmine. She complained to her cabbie about the sudden swerve and he explained he thought there was a mine there. Her best friend was riding in the next cab and it didn't swerve. Kaboom!
