Here's the scenario. I drop my daughter off and pick her up everyday from school. School lets out at 3:30 but you have to get in line out on the street around 2:35-2:45 if you want to get your kid in a timely fashion.
So here's the set up, everyday around 2:35 cars start lining up. It's mostly moms in SUV's waiting in line. Around 3:25 the local constable shows up to open the school gate and direct cars in. So most of us sit in line for almost an hour to pick up our kids. I don't mind the wait, as it gives me time to read up on the forums. Now here's the problem, every single day since the beginning of the year there has been an asshat that decides to show up in line at 3:20ish, instead of getting at the back of the line like a respectful person would he waits for the cop to open the gate and then forces his way into the front of the line. I'm rarely at the very front but I have seen numerous moms say something to him and he keeps doing it. It's slightly irritating. I have given serious thought to telling the guy to FO and get in line like everyone else but then I figure he's probably too stupid to understand what I'm saying. What would Arfcom do? |

Is there any decent place to park that's within like 10 minutes' walk of the school? You could skip the line entirely, park at 3:15 and just hoof it down to the front of the school, and avoid the line-cutting jerkass entirely.
Is it possible to talk to the cop who directs traffic, or maybe convince the school to put up some cones or something that he'd have to smash to cut into the front of the line like that? |

Tell the constable guy that opens the gate?
At our school it is the same shit. Every day there is some dumbass that stops in the dropoff lane in the morning or pickup lane after school and gets out of their car fucking up the whole process. It blows my mind how some moron can not realize that 50 cars are in line behind them and not to park and get out. |
| Complain to the cop about it. Thats what I did when picking up one of my kids at school. every day it was the same asswipe and after he almost hit my truck I said something to the cop. After that the cop forced him to drive thru without stopping and go to the back of the line. |

Simple give it time one of them women is married to a cop or brother is a cop, dickhead will be taken care of.  They can get more done than you.

Take video of said asshat and send to local TV news. Most stations will have someone who comments on such things. You need a little luck, slow news day or someone who gets really pissed about rude people, to get it on the air. Maybe they can shame him into decent behavior(or not).

Where's he coming from that he's able to cut in? Can you take his place? Block his access? Get out and speak to the other drivers and explain what you are doing and get one of them to agree to let you, but not him into line after it's flowing.
A friend did something like this on the interstate, stuck in stop & go traffic towing a horse trailer he sees some jackass passing everyone in the emergency lane. Instinctively he pulled out of line and blocked him. Realizing he had lost his spot, he looked over to see the car behind him driver giving him a thumbs up and holding his spot and smiling. I'm with you OP, two days out of three I'm in the same line, two different schools, picking up & dropping off.

| Maybe you could have your kid wait after school for 30 minutes and then you can come in and pick him/her up after the line dies down and save your self the headache of waiting in a car for an hour every day. Otherwise you need to work on your wolf stare and blading skills. |

LOL That's the most ridiculous backpedaling rationalization that I've heard here in a while. Get an accomplice mom and box him in, then when he comes out to drive away, you both have a really hard time getting your kids seat belt fastened. Like 10 minutes worth of difficulty.
