I don't know, but if you know the rock formation it was found in, or just a more precise location than Central Texas, you can probably find out pretty easily with a web search.

I found something a couple weeks ago at my deer lease in Coleman, tx that I couldn't identify. While searching for pics of fossils I found this website http://northtexasfossils.com/ He documents and catalogs fossils he finds in Northern/Central TX. I sent him a couple pics of the fossils and he identified them as coral. Probably dated to the Pennsylvanian Period.
If you don't get any answers you may send him a pic or two and see what he comes up with. I think, and I'm no expert, but the first two pics may be some sort of coral. Branches or fingers of coral that were broken off. Like I said I may be wrong but the pitted look of the fossils reminds me of coral for some reason. Here is what I found, the curved piece is what I wasn't sure of, I thought it was a tooth, he said it was a type of coral.
Second one I figured was coral but wasn't sure.
