In case any of you don't know, there is an excellent on-line conservative publication called National Review Online. Today there is a good article on the subject above. Bottom line: he thinks tha Assault Weapons bill will sunset in 2004 and "efforts to renew or expand it face an uphill battle." A good read. Good article, although I'm not sure how the Illinois legislature will block new anti-gun laws now that they control both state house and senate. Seems to me that Illinois is SCREWED, a la California. How we are going to avoid .50 cal bans, "Assault Weapon" bans, and other such garbage, I have no idea. |
