| Who makes good quality, air powered, impact wrenches(at least 600ft/lbs) and riveting tools? |
|
Snap-on and Cornwell are the only two I've ever owned/used professionally. IR makes air tools for both of them also IIRC, not sure if either company actually makes their own air tools?.
If you want them to last under heavy use, be prepared to spend $$$. Craftsman or Harbor freight shit might work, but you're going to have to buy replacements sooner when the break, and they will break. Just my $0.02, buy what you want |

Blue point for impact stuff and for riveting use Browntool.com.(alot of aviation tool stuff we get is from Brown) I had a Blue Point (Snap On discount brand, think Maverick is to Mossberg) air hammer, used it for 2 years riveting walls and side rails on 53 ft trailers. A LOT of hammering, and still works today, even though I am long gone from working on semis and trailers. |

I am a professional mechanic, I have used expensive, Snap -On and cheap Ingersol Rand made some of the best and they were cheaper than Snap-On, I retired a couple of years age.
Some of the guys that I worked with were using Harbour Freight Earthquake bread and were having good luck with them, they are 600 ft lb wrenches, byu their warrenty and when they break they will replace them. They are made in China and so are the brand names now days. |

Cleco E-5 rivet gun great trigger good power, have used one for twenty plus years as a structures mechanic works just like the day I bought it
Ingersoll rand Titanium 1/2" has 780 ft-lb and the 3/4" has 1350 ft-lb max torque. I used a 3/4" hard every day for two years working on mine equipment it was great. For what it's worth if you haven't used a rivet gun much the trigger control is very important, if you are going to use it as a air hammer not so much YMMV |
