It's hard for a normal person to wrap their head around that one. Honestly, it kind of sucks that my Monday is on everyone's Friday.

We hear "Hey, what day is it for you today?" at work. Shift rotations..I do 6 on, 2 off. When Friday is my first day off, I get Fri, Sat, Sun off then work 5 then get Sat, Sun and Mon off then start the rotation all over again. Hopefully that is is changing this bid and I will do a 4 on 3 off 5 on 4 type of sched. Pray for me. |

We have a shift bid every year in every department and each department usually has different schedules. The only departments right now who rotate are the line mechanics and they seem to like it. When I choose a shift or schedule I like it really depends on who the lead mechanic is or what schedule I'll be on. For the past two years I've been on a weekend crew and like having four days off with a make up day every third Monday.
