Hi guys,
My brother works as an arborist and recently found 3 baby gray squirrels. The mom most likely died when they dropped a large oak. Over the last 2 weeks they've thrived, growing and acting like little squirrels do. Up until a few days ago. The largest and healthiest of the three was dead in the nest he built for them when he checked on them in the morning. Now he has another that's having labored breathing and is very lethargic. I really hope this works out for him and them as he's the perfect guy to raise them. They'd be dead if he hadn't taken them in. Anyone have any squirrel experience? |

We raised 2, to adulthood - one lived for a few years. Everything you need is here: http://www.squirrelstore.com/ Be prepared to buy big cat cages - we ended up with 2 large cages configured into 1 big cage. ETA- Info regarding raising babies is at that link. |
| If you bottle feed them too quickly or otherwise let them get too much milk or water in their mouths they suck it down too fast, get it in their lungs, and die from pneumonia within a couple of weeks. I went thru several baby squirrels as a boy before I figured that out. |

Ha, it's coming out of his nose!"? If so, pneumonia. Maybe some antibiotics? |

Should either take them to the vet or find a squirrel refuge. |
