wtf is it with these guys. they seem to be crawling out of the walls lately. Yesterday my neighbor brings over his buddy he thought i might want to meet. Dude tells me he was a sea-bee during the gulf war. He sees all the triagle handguards i have laying around my shop and says they are just like the ones on his m16 he carried into iraq. Not only that he tells me they got into a fire fight and his "60" gunner got hit. So he picked up the m60 in his right hand and the m16 in his left and went "rock and roll" on the enemy. Guys it was all i could do not to laugh in this idiots face. I started to question him and of course didn't know where he was or even what round and m60 shot. I'll be the first to admit i was a remf. wasn't my choice but thats where the army needed me. I was proud to serve and these idiots get on my last nerve. mike |

I flew into Panama on a 130 once. After we landed someone spotted what appeared to be a small arms hole in the starboard wing. After we returned from the deployment I overheard one of the crew talking about all the fire they took during final approach. It was a good story...if you didn't know any better. Eddie |

I met a guy yesterday who came into the shop looking for a .22 for his son. I couldn't place his accent, so I asked him. He said South Africa. (White guy) I asked him about the Rhodesian Army, and pulled up a sleeve and showed me a Rhodesian Army tatoo!!! He was the real deal, and was interested in the FAL I had in back (I brought it out to show him). He was very familiar with it, said he fought the Kaffirs (sp?) with one. Balming |
