If the U.S. were to consider extraditing her wouldn't that be exposing her to double jeopardy, prohibited by the Constitution?

As found on Wikipedia
She served four years of a 26-year sentence before the murder conviction was overturned on October 3, 2011. However, on March 26, 2013, Knox's acquittal was overturned by the Italian Supreme Court.

INTERPOL isn't going to arrest you themselves, they'll have US cops (state or federal) arrest you. Not that it really makes a difference.

The convictions of Knox and her ex-boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, were overturned in 2011 for "lack of evidence."

Italy's Supreme Court decided last year to retry the case, saying the jury that acquitted Knox didn't consider all the evidence, and that discrepancies in testimony needed to be answered.

You mean like the guys, including the "president", who wanted Zimmerman convicted at any cost even he being innocent?

Now just imagine Europeans starting to kill Americans as "retribution".

By the way, I'm not convinced she's innocent and apparently only escaped because of the usual legal technicalities.  That just shows how the justice system worldwide is obsolete and corrupt.

You mean how, if the state court does not give the PC verdict, the Federal Court tries them for "civil rights violations"?

Yeah like that. "Zimmermanned"
Y'all know that's not even a possibility for a private citizen, right?

Yes it is.

There is precedent it has been done before. Look up the murder of Vincent Chin back in the 1980s. After receiving a slap on the wrist, federal civil rights charges were brought and they got a conviction.

Yep and you got it too. Herpes Simplex 1, or commonly know  as Oral herpes, most kids have it before they are out of their teens, and an overwhelming majority of adults have it despite never getting any symptoms of it.

Would pound the sweet bejesus out of her and not think twice and laugh at the idiots who turned her down for a skin condition that they have had for years and she just caught and hasnt had the chance to build up a resistance to yet

While I understand the rule of law, and that Italy apparently has none when it comes to its courts... I really would have a hard time praising a murderer getting off scott-free based on a technical issue.

Yes, she's cute,... but from a more serious standpoint, I'll have to reserve judgment/non-judgement of her until I find out more.

There is no evidence she was involved in the murder.  It's pretty clear that the transient they were hanging out with killed her, and there is no motive or evidence that Knox and her BF were involved.  But she did a lot of lying and even fingered an innocent guy during the investigation, so she is no saint.  My personal theory is that she and her boyfriend were coked out of their mind and were trying to lie to cover up the drug use.

There was no credible physical evidence that placed her at the scene.
There were no witnesses that placed her at the scene.
They sent a local hoodrat to prison for the murder.
The original prosecutor got his shit rocked for making things up.

AND

That same country sent a group of scientists to prison because they couldn't predict and earthquake.

Fuck Italy.

I don't trust our State Dept and I absolutely don't trust our Justice Dept. If I were her, I'd try to fall off the grid as much as possible. Turn into that needle in the haystack somewhere in a flyover state. And never travel anywhere with a extradition treaty with Italy or any EU country.

After Douglas Preston and his Italian journalist friend wrote "The Monster of Florence" the prosecutor (who'd already arrested, charged and convicted four men four different times for the crime) arrested them, saying "they knew so much about the crimes that they must have committed the crime themselves."

Same prosecutor in the Knox case.  The guy is woefully incompetent.
