To be clear:  You can see it, not just feel it?

Keep one of those donut bandaids on it with the hole centered on the sliver of glass. It should work itself out in a few days.

Nail clippers
Pin
Tweezers
Flashlight

Use nail clippers to mow the skin down to a level where it starts to hurt.
use pin to dig, and open up where it hurts.
Tweezers if you can see the shimmer as you dig.
Squeeze around area until you dont feel the sting.
(this is what i did a few weeks ago)

go see a doctor.

We have these things at work called slinter outs I believe. They are razor sharp and are meant to cut a splinter out.

Hate to say this, Bro:

when I'd get them buggers, I sat there in the sun with a magnifying glass and a real sharp knife and just dug them suckers out; but, that's me. You risk a hellava lotta pain and mebbe infection.

How's about going to one of them "doc in a box" local clinics, a podiatrist, or even ER?

if you get that foot infected there's heck to pay

Man up and grab it with a tweezers. Might have to pick at it with a pin around the area first.

duct tape. take a piece and use it to stick to the glass an pull it out.

18 gauge hypodermic needles work great for splinters.

Pour a bunch of that hair pulling wax down into the crater in your foot then yank it off.

Xacto knife, tweezers, epsom, and some kind of antibiotic.

Soak your foot in some hot water and epsom.  Have a friend start slicing down the track the sliver took until they hit glass.  Use tweezers to pull out the sliver.  Wash foot, apply antibiotic and bandage, and go to bed.

Apply a heavy coat of iodine to area first. It stains the skin and makes the sliver really stand out

Amputation is the only answer. Make sure to drink plenty.

Start squeezing the area like a zip, that can help push the splinter out where you can grab it.

Sounds like a piece broke off

Sounds like a piece broke off since it can only go in to the skin level

Ignore it, let it abscess for a week or more.

Pinch the pimple and let it ride the wave out.

With the effort you have used to get it out, time to see a doc who has the right tools for the job.

This!

I first try with a pair of fingernail clippers.  They have better occlusion than tweezers, and can somewhat cut stuff out.  If the clippers don't get it, dig it out with a hypo needle.  Those suckers are sharp and have no problem getting deep enough.

Had a wood splinter I just couldn't get out.  My neighbor said to mix sugar with
dish detergent, slather it on and put a band aid over it.

It worked, popped right out like a pimple busting in 2-3 days.

Use duct tape. Sticky side towards sliver, pull off, repeat as needed until the glass is removed.

Fine point tweezers have always helped me in combination with a very sharp knife and alcohol.
