So, should I go and get a NJ FID and a NJ purchased M107A1 to celebrate?
Oh yeah, that is a muzzle brake, not a flash hider. I don't know what the fat man is up to but, in my eyes he just stood and delivered. How do you veto a 50 cal ban in a deep blue state like NJ? Soccer moms are not going to hear shit besides "super sniper death military guns legal because of fat man" headlines. |

ETA: I dunno. President "Go fuck yourself" that just vetoed gun control is appealing to me right now, even more than an idealist like Rand Paul. A slimy bastard that knows how the system works and who to grease to get shit done and has principles buried down deep is how things get done in DC, isn't it? He didn't do shit.
He still wants to ban the .50 BMG caliber, he just didn't want the turn in your gun law. He raised the level of unlawful possession. It's now a first degree crime. 10 to 20 years. He signed an 85% time before parole for that idiotic firearms trafficking law. He made it legal to impound your car for unlawful weapons possession. Possession of any weapon is illegal in New Jersey, unless you fall within one of the exceptions in 2C:39. IOW, since you know you're going to lose that argument on the side of the road with the cop, now you get to pay to get your car out of impound, too. If you're on the terrorism watch list, no gun for you. He did not sign the law making everyone take a safety class. The NRA runs the safety classes. We wouldn't want them to make a positive impression on new shooters. Pure politics. He did not sign the moronic law that requires the NJSP to report stolen guns to the feds. Here's how that would go:
He did not sign the .50 ban because it's taking without just compensation. The state would have to pay for it. If it's just illegal, you can take it somewhere else and sell it. We don't have to pay you for it. He did absolutely nothing for you. He is a scumbag of the lowest order. |
