Hi guys and girls I just have a question for ya. First let me explain my saturation. I ordered a stock from an online dealer who will not be named at this time. On the site the item was listed as in stock the main reason I ordered and I also received 10% off of first order. As soon as I place the order the card is charged and taken out of bank account. So  about 4 or 5 days later no activity on status of product so I email them at first they get back within two days and tell me the product is actually on backorder. They give me option to go ahead with it or get a another color which is instock or refund. I email them telling them to go ahead with order and if possible give an eta on arrival of product. Nothing from them for a week so I email them again and then two days or so I get another email saying that there is no eta on arrival. Oh and I also called twice no answer there just voice mail. On the next email I decided to get a refund which they said I can still do. They said it would take a few days to show in account. Since I have emailed them asking if they couls give me status of refund and I've waited about a week for reply.

So that's where I am at. I here's the question: I have found their personal facebooks of the husband and wife which run this online dealer. The husbands name is the email I have been emailing to and the wife is the only one to reply using husbands email. Would it be unprofessional or unbusiness like to message th on Facebook to ask them about the issue?

Thanks everyone for the help before hand. Oh I have found the item instock somewhere else at a well known dealer.

Maybe that's why I was seeing if what y'all thought about the Facebook idea I know they check it often like everyone else. That way I can get response from them and I'm thinking if they don't like it well refund the dang money and ill leave them alone I mean how hard is it and how long does it take to refund someone money.

I guess Monday morning ill message them on Facebook to see if I get a faster response. I would put money on it that they say something along the lines that they don't appreciate me getting in touch with them that way. And that I should contact them through the business' email or call.

You've given them lots of chances to get you the product or a refund, they are now ignoring you, I don't like doing charge backs on the credit card but in this instance that is what I would do.

Call your card issuer first to confirm that they don't have a refund pending.

Online it usually says within a few hours that something is pending. And all I'm trying to do is find out the status of my refund.

I seriously doubt they let him use a debit card in the 'debit' sense.  I doubt he entered his pin for the purchase.  It's FAR more likely that he used it like a credit card.  If he did, he has all the same protections as Visa/MC/Whatever give every cardholder.

Well just messages them on Facebook so lets see if they reply and if anything exciting happens. Oh I did some research on them and the husband works at a bank or finance institution of some sorts and she is a lawyer so they could be just really busy. I hope I get some action in the right direction soon.
