Having a bad day at work? At least this isn't your job. It starts about 20 seconds into the video: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=9bc_1326485294 And that was a year ago, before the city went bankrupt. |

That reporter was a real dick. That is how they should be when questioning the government about a fucked up status quo If I had to guess, the reporter is probably a liberal/communist who is frustrated with the effects of modern liberalism/communism. |

That reporter was a real dick. He holds the feet to the fire of every elected and person in charge in Wayne county, he has exposed so much theft, corruption, lies, etc..I am surprised he hasn't been found face down in an ally yet. Quoted:
"This is not something you expect in a large American city". Is this EMS guy for real? If you work in emergency services in a large American city it's exactly what you expect. Don't like it? Get a a better job in the burbs. That's what I was thinking. It is what you expect. Chicago, LA, Etc...Detroit is fewer than 700,000 people now. That EMS guy, like most in the area, is a bitch. The DFD EMS guys are squared away, the private ones..don't get me going. NYE, at work, we guess on the type of gun's being fired in the air in SW D. The vato's have been known to launch a firework or two at us NYE, May 5th and Juy 4th, we call it a free "danger close" fireworks show. It's Detroit, to expect anything else is living a lie. Quoted:

Looks nicer now..........back then the vacant buildings hadn't been torn down yet. |

Yeah, I just watched some of his other videos. I stand corrected; he seems like a decent guy - a little like John Stossel in a way. |

Maybe the gun fire noise was coming from a nearby outdoor range having a NYE special? I get the sarcasm, but Detroit hasn't approved a new gun range inside the city limits in decades. Even federal agencies are not allowed to build ranges for training within the city limits. DPD has only been able to fix their old decrepit ranges. |

Pretty much. It doesn't matter if the city population is 100k or 900k. Happy fuckin new year brings lots of gun fire. I always park under bridges and wait for a call. Quoted:

Meh, that's NYE in every U.S. ghetto. ![]() Pretty much. It doesn't matter if the city population is 100k or 900k. Happy fuckin new year brings lots of gun fire. I always park under bridges and wait for a call. Several years ago they started letting fireworks be sold the week before NYE. People get to blow stuff and the organizations make some money. |

Get a a better job in the burbs. I have come to the conclusion that you have become cynical and detached. I guess all those years of working the mean streets has made you hard. That EMS guy had one of the weirdest names for a guy with no accent |
