It's only "common sense legislation", right?

And yes, this is California.

I'd like to attach a rider to this bill mandating helmets for everyone, all the times, period.  One never knows if one might fall.

And while I'm at it, perhaps requiring integrated airbag clothing, so that one's landing will at least be padded in case of the above mentioned fall.

I also propose mandatory contact lenses, for everyone, regardless of vision requirements, with laser engraved warning labels on the lens(sort of a 24/7 Heads Up Display) saying something to the effect of, "Warning: life can be dangerous."  We could follow that up with a huge PSA media campaign blitz encouraging folks to just stay home in bed and let "Auntie Sam" take care of everything.  Going outside is, after all, just too dangerous.

Violations of these provisions, when they become law, shall be a felony and punishable by 10 years in jail and/or a $25,000 fine.

We must do this now, for the children.

PS - Can someone tell me why there are no seatbelts installed, or reguired, on public school buses?

(Edited to add)

We must also do something about "assault toys".  Anything that can be used to strike, can be thrown, shot, spun, or in any way emulates or encourages any sort of aggressive tendency, needs to be immediately and permantently banned.
