yeah I know this sounds dumb, but we finally got one up here about two weeks ago. I'd forgotten how good their food was.
Not sure how well their going to do in the middle of winter when its -30F outside but its nice there is a Sonic up here now |

You want a few more of them, will be glad to send you a few from here.
And yes, getting excited about a Sonic coming to town sounds dumb, sorry. Maybe they will use ice skates this winter. I have one about 1 1/2 miles from me, never have been in the place. Nothing in there I care for. Glad you like the food, enjoy. |

OP, how long did you wait in line. News showed an hour wait, and they hired people to direct traffic. Think I'll wait for the crowd to slim a bit. if you eat in the dining room you don't have to wait in line and have your food within 10min, that's what I did |

Lime ade is good. Chili cheese fries and foot long chili cheese dogs make a good combo.
I CAN NOT stand the commercials on tv. They are annoying and dumb as hell. Those two idiots on there remind me of those guys from American Pickers on discovery channel. Might be lovers??? |

I haven't eaten in a Sonic in almost a year and feel better every day and that comes from a 43 year old man raised on it since birth. they give a ton of money to the Dems. they don't get a dime out of our family.
I will say this. there is NO OTHER place that has the proper taste on any type of fountain drink and there is not a day that goes by that I don't lust for a medium Cherry Dr. Pepper from there. |

There are too many where I live (HQ is in OKC) and the food is average at best. It has caused me to take a liking to restaurants from out of state. ![]() Oklahoma in general has an odd perception of what food is. It's like Oklahomans don't know how to build a personality and run with it. Instead, you just sort of cater to whoever has the most bland and generic taste and pretend that being nice and homely makes up for a lack of actual effort or skill. I think I've just lived here too long and the passive and modest atmosphere has gotten sickeningly thick. If there is a state where I feel genuinely discouraged from excelling, Oklahoma would be it. There is nothing in this state worth advertising except cheap land and low population density so we make the oddest appeals to bring business here. Then, the businesses that originate here and actually make it out of the state do so through sheer quantity and whoring out instead of being selective enough to garner some exclusivity for those on the outside. |

OKC, Tulsa, even a lot of smaller towns have excellent food if you go looking for it. |
| Sonic is terrible. I have never liked there food. I have had it since I moved to OK in the 2nd grade and I always complained when we went to eat there. I'd rather eat a bologna sandwich than a burger there. Some of their drinks are decent but all their food sucks. |
