The chainsaw items are cosmetically blemished but functionally within Noveske's specs, and to that point most people have reported difficulty finding the blemish. I only have one Noveske and it's a chainsaw lower. The blem is a small dimple on the side. Chainsaw's are 100% gtg in my book. -John

| I went with all first run Noveske stuff on one of my first all Noveske builds. 14.5 SB barrel, Gen II lower, MUR upper, NSR and the whole bit. Cost a bit more than I'd hoped but still much less than buying a complete rifle. After I checked out a few Gen II chainsaw lowers and couldn't for the life of me find why they had been marked chainsaw grade I now buy all chainsaw stuff. My guns get used often and hard so it usually doesn't take long for the scratches to happen. Besides that's what krypton is for. |

I've considered buying them before, but, I didn't want to end up with one that has a dent (scratches and "nicks" are okay), or out of spec. Idk much about their line, though, so I guess I've been passing up for no reason. There are non that are out of spec. |

Like I said; I never looked too much into the line, I just figured it was more than blemishes, now I see it's not.

Then Noveske's specs are out of spec. My Chainsaw Gen 2 had the take down pin holes drilled wrong and I've seen several others that had the same problem. Makes them very expensive out of spec lowers. My blem was it didn't actually work with any uppers. |

I have a factory assembled Chainsaw Noveske, there are no visible blemishes: http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p160/stripeknight/2013-03-17141620_zps6f18fa11.jpg http://i127.photobucket.com/albums/p160/stripeknight/2013-03-17142529_zpsfaaa3562.jpg When I envision my perfect gun I see that one, with a T1 on top... |

My blem was it didn't actually work with any uppers. Dream on. I have two Gen 1 Chainsaw lowers from the same batch that are slightly out of spec at the pivot pin holes that were marked chainsaw (not tight, but slightly out of alignment). They were perfect in every other way. My LGS also noted the same issue with the chainsaw lowers they had from the same batch. Issue is self correcting the more I shoot, so I'm more than happy to take the discount, and patiently fix the blemish myself. I also have some non chainsaws from the same serial number range that are perfect at the pivot pin holes, so I'm pretty positive they'll allow a slightly out of spec item as a chainsaw if it doesn't impact usability, despite what the description says. |
