Quoted:
WWII Footlocker, $30-200 depending on condition Does it have the tray insert? Key for locked clasp? Dry rot or mold? Sentimental value? This- it appears to be a private purchase footlocker instead of an issue one, those bring a little less than issue ones. |

Quoted: Is this a WWII Item should I buy it? Does anyone know what all the numbers and stuff mean? https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ash3/q82/s720x720/1017080_558774570828611_2065991795_n.jpg Well, it belonged to MSgt Weeks, Regular Army.... who enlisted, rather than being drafted: Per wiki, "Enlisted personnel did not hold dual ranks; rather, they were soldiers either in the Regular Army or the Army of the United States. To be a Regular Army soldier was also seen as a point of honor because they had voluntarily enlisted rather than being drafted. Enlisted Regular Army personnel were known by the "RA” abbreviation before their service numbers in contrast to the "AUS” of the Army of the United States."
