New Hampshire is 5 years out and I’ll be able to afford the place I REALLY want then. Edit: I could go in 2 but if I save longer I can get the stream AND the POND plus 40ish acres. |

My dog had a good check up today after a cancer scare. We've been dreading today for months but it turns out she has arthritis that we can manage instead of bone cancer. I feel so relieved. |

How old is she? Yeah. Shes 8. We took her in the 1st week of Feb because she was holding her left front paw up in the air and limping around. Xray showed kind of a thin bone, which is indicative of bone cancer (which is common in greyhounds) Her x-ray today showed things were normal. She's a former racer so her joints had a lot of high stress events when she was young, so apparently its not uncommon for former racing dogs to have joint issues. The vet said the xrays from Feb weren't great quality so that may have caused a reading that wasnt entirely accurate. We've been giving her joint supplements and shes been acting normal. I really feel like we just dodged a bullet. |
