Got a job as a superintendent/jr project manager with a custom home builder. Huge commute but a 100% pay bump. I’ve been pricing LMT MARs and HK rifles

Fuck yeah, way to go! How much of a commute?

Btw, what happened to moving to New Hampshire?

90 miles each way.

New Hampshire is 5 years out and I’ll be able to afford the place I REALLY want then.

Edit: I could go in 2 but if I save longer I can get the stream AND the POND plus 40ish acres.

Yep it is. If I get tired of it I can stay up there for a day or 2 , my whole family lives there, but I’ve had to do this commute for jobs before long term and it was fine. Pop on Hardcore History and cruise.

🙏

My dog had a good check up today after a cancer scare. We've been dreading today for months but it turns out she has arthritis that we can manage instead of bone cancer. I feel so relieved.

Yeah. Shes 8. We took her in the 1st week of Feb because she was holding her left front paw up in the air and limping around. Xray showed kind of a thin bone, which is indicative of bone cancer (which is common in greyhounds)

Her x-ray today showed things were normal. She's a former racer so her joints had a lot of high stress events when she was young, so apparently its not uncommon for former racing dogs to have joint issues. The vet said the xrays from Feb weren't great quality so that may have caused a reading that wasnt entirely accurate.

We've been giving her joint supplements and shes been acting normal. I really feel like we just dodged a bullet.

Great to hear! What supplements are you giving? We’ve been giving my older girl just condroitin and not really seeing a difference.

Shes such a gentle sweetheart, Im definitely not ready to lose her. I know I'll never be, but greyhounds usually live to at least 12.

It's a lot easier now. I broke the social cues, and just focus on how bad a hangover feels when I think about drinking.
The first couple years was harder, or course.

Holy shit bro. Glad you're ok.

Jesus man. That sucks!

I almost had a Oopsie once, was doing a bit of dry fire and was halfway through my  first trigger pull when i realized I had cleared the mag but not the chamber. Shit happens, glad no one was killed. Hope that hand heals up ok!
