It's kind of hard to tell from your pic, but I thought I saw the characteristic banding on the head of the Tx Brown. If it's a solid color, then it's a rough earth snake. I toss out two every day as the cat keeps dragging them in: http://www.austinreptileservice.net/image/roughearth2.jpg That's it. |

He walks in, meows, drops them on the floor and then lays down. Lazy bastard. Every single night I toss out one minimum. Very harmless, docile snakes. |

He's right. they have the same venom characteristics as garter snakes. It's a mild venom that is basically harmless to most larger verts. |

The wife would be throwing his dead body out with the snake. |

Heck no I would be keeping cat in or out he's not bringing in snakes might be a harmless one today and a baby rattle snack tomorrow |

Note to self: if you ever visit Texas and need a place to sleep, don't ask Zhukov. TRG's house would be safer. |

Zhukov is a damn fine cook and I won't have to sleep worried he'll invade my bed. ![]() I just fixed this tonight - a spicy cajun crawfish and shrimp pasta with sauteed cremini mushrooms, scallions, and grated Parmigiano-Reggiano. https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/7766_508234895892993_499410905_n.jpg Holy shit that looks amazing. Recipe? |

My wife loathes snakes too, but she's pretty rational about it as long as she doesn't have to touch them. The rat snake we had in our front tree a few years ago - now that was a different story. She was NOT happy when I grabbed the snake in order to take it to an abandoned field, but then dropped it when it squirmed unexpectedly. ![]() https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-frc1/1001642_508233925893090_1432274393_n.jpg For reference: My son was close to 6ft tall in that picture. You freaked out when it moved in your hands? You big pussy.
